Vita Group is a medical device incubator that takes napkin sketches all the way to commercialization. So, here are the top 5 reasons you should work with Vita Group.
1. Vita Group incubates projects at cost. $5,000 to $10,000 a month.
In the R/D industry it is standard for inventors to pay one large lump of payment, usually a sum between $50k-$200k every month or every other month. Instead of the one lump payment method, Vita Group has set up a more reasonable and affordable payment structure. We charge an at cost rate of $5k-$15k paid monthly for the first 6 months. This setup is great for both the parties as it provides quick development at a reasonable price.
2. Rapid Prototype v1 to v15. No additional cost.
At Vita Group, our engineering team has full access to in-house prototypes and can make several revisions in one day. We have invested in multiple 3D printers that can print millions of colors at once in various softness or hardness. This way, we provide up to 15 versions of prototypes in Phase 0 to Phase 1 at no additional cost. It’s typical for R/D companies to offer prototyping services, but usually as an additional charge and with less variety of colors. Our ability to provide a wide range of in-house prototyping is both cost and time effective.
3. Vita Group is in wet labs and dry labs 2-4 times a week. Prototype to tissue interaction daily.
Our engineers are in the OR/Dry Labs/Wet Labs/ Cadavers Labs 2-4 times a week. This way, our engineers get firsthand experience with healthcare settings and know the surgical environment intimately. Usually with other R/D companies, their engineers don’t have access to these labs, and instead receive notes on the testing through a secondhand source. At Vita Group, there is no need to spend massive amounts of time explaining the surgical or healthcare environment to our engineers, because our engineers are already involved in the testing process.
4. We’re fast. Like, Jimmy John’s fast.
Our mission is to get projects to the market as quickly as we can. It usually takes R/D companys up to 7 years to bring a project to the market. We recognize 7 years is a long time to invest money and time into a project, which is why Vita Group sets up our development timeline to fit a total of 2 years (give or take depending on the project), from Phase 0 to Phase 5. Our goal is to bring medical device innovations to market at an accelerated rate, while providing regulatory costs/pathway, IP analysis, COGs manufacturing (international or domestic), a business plan/business strategy, and prototypes (version 1 to version 10) for the project as fast as possible.
5. We have the resources and experience to complete any medical device project.
Last but not least, Vita Group is extremely versatile and resourceful. We work with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, developing phone apps, 3D capturing or printing, LCD screens, and much more. Most other R/D companies do not have these resources and have to look elsewhere to fulfill these needs. Vita Group has the advantage of being able to do all the work internally so we can develop projects as fast as possible, which saves both money and time.
These top 5 reasons are just some of the ways Vita Group is so unique in the R/D industry. Not only is Vita Group an affordable option for bringing medical products to commercialization, but we are also dedicated to providing a speedy, pain-free experience to our partners. With our drive and determination, we partner with inventors on projects that we believe in.
